"I want to love. Like the people do." Ray and Frank were never fixed to be human. They were fixed to be productive and get jobs done. They weren't fixed to feel, to touch, to sense. Gerard and Mikey felt like they were born to do something, but in a life where they roamed side-by-side with robot-people, they were always obsolete. But then the Earth decided to merge their worlds together.

In a world where people are sorted by their genetic aptitude, Luke is left asking some serious questions. Why is he plagued by bad luck and why do the electrical appliances misbehave? During an unlucky spell he passes through a wormhole, into a reality he is no longer considered a part of. With eyes on him, he must choose a path and take control of his future. But someone else isn't playing by the rules, and Luke must bring them down if he wants to make it out alive. Written for prompt 27 of Open Novel Contest 2020.
