Growing up together and being friends is all well and good. But sanity slips, and bonds break. People who were once friends can become enemies, even more so they can become victims.

But her promise to herself has cursed her: in the chaos of acquanting herself as a Princess, a guard named Lee Heeseung appeared in the picture. It will take all of her strength to resist him, and all of her wit to look at him as her only guard, her sworn protector. And though her toughest enemy might be the pressure of the royal court, it is truly her heart which is the strongest bond for her to find peace once again in his side.
