The opening scene of the saga story depicts a rich Nigerian family, the Baloguns, enjoying a Sunday afternoon meal in the luxurious Banana Island, Lagos. Despite being a powerful player in Nigerian politics, Chief Balogun is shown to be just like any other human, with flaws and imperfections. The scene serves to highlight the challenges that come with being a part of an affluent family and how this can affect perception. While the public may view the Baloguns as perfect, the reality is that they are a group of individuals with varied perspectives, beliefs, and values. Through the story, we get to see how they navigate their lives despite their differences and how they strive to maintain dominance in their political engagements while trying to live in a world that is different from what they are used to.
