Would you hide a part of yourself? You might do it if that part scared you. After a while, you might get good at hiding your secrets and past. Grian had experience with that sort of thing, and now he must do it once again - but it's so much harder this time. I am writing this for AO3, but I decided to start posting it on here as well Because of that, updates might be slow even though I update the AO3 version very VERY often This takes place in Season 7, and begins during the Mayoral Campaign

~~Sequel to An Old Friend, read that first if you haven't already~~ Hermitcraft has been mostly peaceful for Grian and Mumbo since the incident with Sam. Both hermits want to leave what happened in the past and live their lives fully. But when the peace ends abruptly, this time Grian seems to be the only one affected. Grian has escaped his horrible high school years, finally happy away from Sam in Hermitcraft. One day, Mumbo goes missing, and Grian finds out that an old friend of his might have to do with it. (I use Grumbo purely PLATONICALLY. Also, the cover art is not mine.)

- Totally not an excuse to write Grian as a cat - yeah, this is a bunch of headcanons and stuff that sometimes pop into my head XD

Something strange begins to happen to Grian, and he leaves the Island for information. But of course, his fellow Hermits have to come rescue him. He spends some time recovering and thinks it's all in the past. But after accidentally poisoning Mumbo, Grian discoveres the story isn't quite over yet.
