DogDay and his pals are called the smiling critters. There's him, Kickin' Chicken, Hoppy Hopscotch, Crafty Corn, Bobby Bearhug, Picky Piggy, Bubba Bubbaphant, and CatNap... That cat .. he always seems to mess with this dog's heart...

This book is primarily fun shenanigans with Catnap and Dogday [the main focus] as well as some others such as Kickin and Bubba! Some connected, some aren't. All characters are over 18, and are the cartoon variants Dogday and Catnap have been best friends for quite a while now, doing all sorts of things together, such as playing with the other critters, hanging out, and even sleeping [although that last part is Catnap's little secret]. On one fateful day, Bobby suggests that Dogday tries to spend some time alone with Catnap, especially because of his feelings for his friend. Dogday has been acting weird, and Catnap can't put his finger on it. He starts hanging out with him more then often and never sees the other Smiling Critters. Until Catnap gets a strange feeling and Dogday takes advantage.

Which really he never understood how- this place has been less gloomy when he came here.. but besides that, DogDay, One of the smiling critters, suddenly started talking with him. Giving him comfort... He doesn't know what this feeling is.. Why is he suddenly being nice and kind to him then the rest of the smiling critters. Can this be ever explained? ....pls. Catnap, one of the smilling critters, who has betrayed them all over prototype 1006, was now back to normal as he wasn't under prototypes Control anymore, of course he wanted forgiveness from the others, despise knowing that it would take a LONG time to get their forgiveness, he tried, he was even able to get dogday his legs back, but despise all of that, they found it strange that capnap was helping them after being free
