Rodrigo is used to his best friend, Oliver, getting him into trouble every once in a while but never had he imagined that one of his craziest ideas would take them to the Kingdom of Karinthia, a magical world where each person has a different power. Although Oliver loves adventure, he soon realises the danger they are in: the entirety of Karinthia is subject to the tyrannical power of Emperor Arakaz and children are obliged to appear before him at twelve years old to swear their loyalty. Luckily, the boys soon find refuge in Garador Fortress where they join a secret order of knights who fight against the cruelty of the emperor. What they hadn't imagined is that one of them is destined to play a key role in this fight. Hazelwood. A minuscule hamlet in the centre of a thick wood. A hamlet, home to Aven and Rowan. Both of whom, are new to it. Aven Havenburry was there first, arriving while Hazelwood was still in the icy clutches of winter. Aven adores the place, usually taking her sketchbook and array of pencils to the bench outside of Lionel's cafe. She loves her collection of floral print dresses and her sunshine coloured Converse. Rowan Swanston arrived later on in the year, while the trees surrounding Hazelwood began regaining their leaves. He quietly keeps his feelings of hatred for the place to himself, helping his pregnant mother whenever he can to keep himself busy. Rowan takes pride in his collection of thick winter jumpers and wristbands he bought from all over the globe. Aven and Rowan both have one thing in common. Their love of Autumn.

****Featured on Wattpad and @Fantasy *** A horde of dark creatures chase a mermaid and her husband to their underwater fortress. Only fourteen-year-old Nikolas and his friends can save them. Happy to escape an apocalyptic future with its refugee camps and nannydrones, Nick convinces his friends to make the journey through time to save the Merfolk. However, on arrival Nikolas begins to suspect the Merfolk are hiding something...sinister. Nikolas wants his friends to have a better life, but he may have led them into even greater peril. And it will be all his fault. Nikolas and Company: The Merman and The Moon Forgotten, follows Nick's boisterous and heart-felt journey as he seeks to save the Merfolk and his friends from the creature most foul. If "The Doctor" took the kids from "Stranger Things" on an adventure to a fantastic version of the moon, you'd get Nikolas and Company. Pure awesome in a cup. With some waffles. Which would make it a waffle load. - Austin 14 "As an adult, I love this series, the characters, the plot twists. I haven't enjoyed a fantasy series this much since I read Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I've already added you my list of favorite authors." - Reehya Bagwandin "As a constant video/computer gamer, it is phenomenal to see my eleven-year-old immersed in these books. He loves this series so much that he's been sharing his books with other boys in his class and asked the school librarian to carry it." - Gemmavive
