*****WATTYS 2015 WINNER!***** WATTPAD STAFF PICK (9/7/15) In the end, the robots win. But you already knew that. "Everyone Died + My iPhone Stopped Working" is a collection of short interviews with some of the survivors. People who have tremendous insight into the rise of Artificially Intelligent machines or, more often, don't. Why did the robots rise up? What did they want? Why couldn't they be stopped? Can they be stopped now? Is humanity doomed? And what the f--k is going on with the squirrels? You will get the answers to all of these questions. Or some of these questions. Or none of these questions. We'll see. I will be updating this once a week until I run out of stuff that I find funny. Then I'm done. Emma was happily married to her husband for a year when he got promoted as a detective. But the job came with an obstacle, he wasn't the same cheerful man she knew anymore. He spent most of his time-if not all-working his ass off. No more dates, no more teasings, no more happiness. So, one fateful day, she told him to come home at lunch to tell something that will change their lives forever. But she didn't get the chance... When Nathan came home that very afternoon, he found out Emma was no longer in the house. Confused and worried, he hoped she was just taking a walk around the neighbourhood. But his assumption was proven wrong when he received a text from his wife's kidnapper. Forced to set his work aside, he needed to use everything he knows to find her. Will Nathan battle against all odds and find his wife? Or will it be too late for Emma to tell him the news? *** #1st Place in Mystery/Thriller (Nova Awards) #2nd Place in Short Story (The Mono Awards, Silk Edition) #3rd place in Short Story (Hidden Gems Awards) Featured in Mystery's reading list; Elementary, My Dear.
