We all have secrets but some are greater than others. What if Lance lied? What if he was still lying? When Lance was 5 he found out an old family secret. His family was full of assassins. He started his training at 7 and had already killed someone at 9. He hated killing people but his family made him. When he was 10 his whole family was wiped out. They were all killed. Lance was sent to foster homes for 3 years until being excepted into the Galaxy Garrison. He hated being an orphan and hated being an outcast so he played dumb. Always making others laugh and always not being the best at things. When he was 17 he started piloting the blue lion, with all of his secrets still hidden. Voltron Fanfic. A series of connected stories starting from the moment that the paladins find out that Lance is a werewolf. Ranging from comfort to angst.

Lance's life on Earth was never as great and happy as he always made it out to be. The team didn't know about the suffering and pain he went through on a daily basis, until one training exercise with the mind meld headbands.

Lance didn't mean to offend anyone with any of the words that he ever said. In fact, his words were meant to flatter or make someone feel better about themselves. He didn't know that other planets didn't take it as well as others. He didn't know that his words were worth his life. - The second chapter contains an alternate ending if you are uncomfortable with major character death.

All of the paladins left someone they cared about on Earth but it couldn't compare to who Lance left behind. He didn't want his son to grow up alone but at this point he didn't have a choice. Did he?

No one gave it a second thought whenever Lance would go quiet when someone mention family or Earth or how Lance should just be quiet sometimes. No one noticed until Lance locked himself in his room, not coming out for anyone, screaming gibberish at anyone who'd try to get in. No one knew why, but Keith was determined to find out.
