This story is set one year after Drake Walker and the Main Character (Bragnae Bennett) of The Royal Romance get married. Check in with the Duke & Duchess of Valtoria one year into their marriage as they adjust to life in their new roles, experience new things with their friends, deal with internal conflict, and grow their family. I began writing this series before The Royal Heir was released. TRC takes place as if the Royal Heir never happened. I wanted to imagine the happily ever afterward of Drake and Bragnae, and what they might experience as a newly married couple and in their new roles of nobility, as well as to get to know a little bit more of Bragnae's background in the story as we did not have a lot of these details in the original series (The Royal Romance).
