"grief clung to her like an old, itchy, faded, ill-fitting, hand-me-down dress" - Amanda Lovelace In which a boy falls in love with the broken girl that everyone talks about. currently rewriting. DISCLAIMER I do not own the hunger games series or any of the characters from the books. I do not own Finnick or his story, I only own the part of the plot that I have made up and Emily. I own some other characters too like Lilly, Grace and Layla. Everything else belongs to the wonderful Suzanne Collins.

Eda is a flight-risk mercenary with a bad track record. Living on half-payments from uncompleted jobs, she hopes that her luck will change. And it does. When Eda meets Gandalf, he tells her that being reluctant to kill - valuing life - is not a weakness. And seeing Eda's true colors beneath her tough and careless facade, he hires her to protect his favorite Hobbit as Bilbo takes an unexpected holiday. But even that doesn't quite go according to plan... *cover art created by @elvenmystery.* **All credit goes to J.R.R. Tolkien for everything except the character(s) I created.** Rated PG-13 for action violence, intense battle sequences, and mild suggestive reference.

An elf awakens on the shores of Cuiviénen and discovers she is not alone. Thrust into a tribe and discovering her mate too early, she struggles to find herself as her people unite in their struggles against Morgoth. When Oromë comes, will they follow? ---- Middle Earth belongs to J.R.R. Tolkien, as do most all of the named characters aside from Tindómiel and Lómion. I just love the world and want to fill in some narrative gaps in the First Age. This story has mild use of Quenya, which is mostly translated at the end of each part. ---- Some reviews courtesy of the Undiscovered Gems judges: Beckyking87: “This book was fantastical; it reminded me of reading one of Tolkien's works :-) Absolutely brilliant." ThirteenthChild: “BTW, I absolutely love J.R.R Tolkien's books. :D The parts are a bit short, but I really love how the author describes everything, and provides terms for the reader. The idea is really cool :D” viogirl9: “I simply loved the beginning. The descriptions were beautiful and the way the author portrayed the setting was excellent and visionary.”

*Complete* A Lord of the Rings FanFiction A Daughters of Middle Earth Story Formerly Titled "Some Things are Meant to Endure" The only daughter of a King who had lost his Queen and the beloved younger sister of a Prince, Aeslin had grown up in the heart of the Woodland Realm. But given her mother's death in battle when she was but a young elfling, very little was more important to King Thranduil and his son Legolas than her safety. Not only had she never set foot beyond the borders of the Greenwood, she'd rarely left the confines of her Father's Court. For all that she was the most precious thing in the lives of her only family, Aeslin grew up the sad child of a dark forest. But with the Greenwood growing ever darker, Thranduil found himself with a hard choice before him. Fearing for the safety of his youngest child should she stay within the borders of a Kingdom coming to be known as 'Mirkwood', the Elven King made a decision that would change his daughter's life forever. Aeslin had always had a talent for healing, so he decided to send her to Rivendell to learn from Elrond as every great elven healer had done for centuries. There she learns not only the arts of healing, but finds another family, and indeed, eventually finds love. Follows Aeslin from before LotR through to the end of the films. Just some helpful, easily condensed Tolkien lore for myself and others hoping to accurately explore Arda in fanfiction. I, Silz (as ElwingAndEarendil), was part of the SSG (Silmarillion Survival Guide) team on CouncilofElrond.com which put together a helpful Silmarillion guide for new and old readers alike. This book here is to further that concept and help with all sorts of Tolkien things, including notes in the History of Middle Earth volumes and other published writings.
