Kirk and Spock have both come close to gruesome deaths while serving aboard the Enterprise, and it seems their timelines are careening towards an end. The Enterprise decided to have a party and kirk knew how much his crew needed to let loose. Spock on the other and wants to know why parties are fun, kirk responds by showing him the true definition of fun at a party.

The Enterprise is called away from a research mission to act as representatives of the Federation and sign a trade agreement with the planet Reskar. The welcome quickly turns foul, leaving Kirk and Spock stranded on a hostile planet. Together, they work to stay alive while unraveling what this thing between them truly is, and what they are willing to do about it.

Spock had never tried it himself, but knew it was possible through stories and experiences from the Vulcan Elders, and as he moved to Kirk's side he pushed back all uncertainty-this was the only option they had to save the captain's life. "My strength to yours. My will to yours," he muttered ever so quietly, reminding himself of what he was doing. He focused on not intruding into Kirk's mind, instead only allowing the bond to offer him strength and project reassurance; he could hear Kirk's breathing even out. "Spock?" "I'm here, captain."

Spock and Jim have beamed down to a deserted planet to gather a crystal (which has hallucinatory effects, making you have vivid flashbacks to traumatic events in your past). On their way back to the ship, they find out the transporter is broken and their radios are being messed up from the everlasting storm that circles the planet. They have to make do for week with only themselves and their tragic pasts. Trigger warning. If you suffer from PTSD or are 'triggered' easily I would suggest avoiding this book. Thanks. When Spock goes under wether, rare for a pure Vulcan, Captain Kirk tends to his commanding officer, and secret crush. The human bisexual had NO clue that Spock was gay. The only person that did, was Doctor Leonard McCoy, Who may or may not have given purposely gotten Spock sick, just to help nudge his friends together.

When Spock returns from an away mission gone horribly wrong, Kirk realizes how much his first officer meant to him, how much responsibility he has not only over his crew's life, but their livelihoods, and struggles to help Spock pick up the pieces. June 2015 #JustWriteIt challenge
