Cassio, son leader, contrôle la favela d'une poigne de fer à la manière d'un monarque absolu. Le jour où Thalya est amenée à rejoindre ce gang, ses repères s'effondrent : elle qui n'a jamais été entendue, elle qui ne s'est jamais sentie comme chez elle, elle qui n'a jamais vraiment vécu... est à présent un soldat du Premier Commando Militant.
