"How are we going to get out of this town?" Sleep filled Maple's voice. Her head lay in Staton's lap; slowly his fingers laced every red strand cascading down his thigh. A shallow sigh and a couple breaths later she sat up sitting on his lap leaning her head on his shoulder. Wrapping his arms around her. Cuddling into him the three girls two guys watched the sky. Night slowly turning in to day. Stars fading drifting back into their sleep. "I'm freezing my ass off." Aria snapped leaning against the cab of the GMC truck talking to no one specifically. "Well here's how, we get in the 80, we stop at a gas station and give her a full gulp; buy some chips and we just drive until she runs out," Julia remarked turning to look at Breygan. Breygan threw a wink in her direction. There was a slight rattle from his keys since he spun them around his finger. "Well, what the hell are we waiting for?" Breygan chuckled before hopping up and heading for the driver's seat. "Are we really doing this?" "Damn live a little, hell yeah we are!" Staton yelped before pushing Maple from his lap and running for the truck. Cover Credit to @stella_vigo

{FEATURED ON WATTPAD UNDISCOVERED LIST} Sometimes, things can happen in your life that change everything. Moving to a new town. Your parents going through a divorce. Dating someone new. Those sorts of things. Good, bad, easy, hard. Normal. But sometimes strange things happen to people. Ask Chris. He might tell you about when someone started blowing up his phone, telling him to go places in his town. In the middle of the night. Which would be weird enough, except this person - if it is a person - seems to know more about his and his friends' new reality than they do. Than anyone does. Now Chris, Ava, Taylor, and Mike need to find out what's going on. Before they all go insane.

"I never asked for friendship, yet you gave it to me." An introvert who likes to go outdoors. An extrovert who's friends with one person at a time. Summer's daytime lasts longer than the night, inviting everyone out to play. Sabito, a child who's lived through tragedy and neglect for his seven years of life, enjoys spending time in the playground built within his apartment complex. An orphaned child who lives with an aunt who can't be bothered to take care of him. Despite having a lazy aunt who can do nothing but suck the life out of a lit cigarette, Sabito's independence is greater than the typical seven-year-old child. Thanks to his father's teachings before that disaster, he can scrape by each day --alone. Unable to let go of the past and his deceased parents, Sabito becomes absorbed into his own mind, survivors guilt weighing down his small shoulders. As a prisoner of his own thoughts, he sits on the swings and tries to forget about the responsibilities he faces when the clock reads 'home time'. Squeals and shouts from other children make his hands move to his ears, but he can't block out the happiness in the air. Happiness comes looking for him. Valerie, the polar opposite of Sabito's reserved, sophisticated demeanour, comes along to unlock the naive side of a matured brain. As she begins to show him the world in colour, a friendship develops between the two. Best friends forever are what they say. Keyword: Forever. Content: Mentions of death/suicide

Twelve-year-old Sarah Lee longs to remain in the golden fields under a starry sky forever, but life has other plans for her. After the bleak spring of 1816 yields meager crops, Sarah's family flees its home in the English countryside to labor at a textile factory in newly industrial London. A factory accident several months later leaves Sarah's father out of work and her family desperate for money. Despite the worries of her older brother Thomas, Sarah disguises herself and ventures into a dangerous new job. Sarah soon learns that life in London is not as simple as it seems. She meets Jamie, a sullen, aggressive boy who helps her adjust to the new conditions. But Jamie has dark secrets of his own, and his reluctance to trust strangers clashes with Sarah's burning curiosity about his past. As the city creeps towards winter, Sarah and her friends stand face-to-face with the horrors of London poverty-rising prices, rampant crime, disease, and hopelessness-and it becomes clear that not everyone will make it out alive. Everyone has a secret, and the consequences can be more devastating than any of them can imagine. "Dark, emotionally gripping, highly researched... very impressive."
