Lars and James had been fighting for quite a while. Two years, in fact. It started with the release of the Black Album and ended with a few disturbing threats thrown by a not-so-sober James. Lars became scared and left the band for that tour, hoping distance would solve their problems. It was now 1993 and he finds something -- No, someone -- quite shocking in the forest.

Czy ciekawiliście się początkiem legendarnego zespołu Metallica? Oczywiście, najlepiej zajrzeć do książek. Ja przeczytałam książkę "Żyć znaczy umrzeć" autorstwa J. Mcliver. Książka mnie zachwyciła i natchneła do napisania tej książki. Ja mam jednak inny pomysł. Cała historia dzieje się od roku 1986 - roku śmierci Cliffa Burtona, do czasu trochę po "Czarnym Albumie". Czy nawet po śmierci człowiek opuszcza to co kocha? Czy jest w stanie wpłynąć na swoich żywych przyjaciół? Czy jest w stanie powiedzieć im, że sława to nie wszystko?

Even now as I walk these streets alone I can sense the fear of many people. But it's not fear of me. Many I can see are paranoid. They've heard of what I do. What I've done. It's not a fear of me exactly. I can see some of them frantically look around. I can feel their hearts beat as I move. I sense it. Even when I am something of the dark, I move in broad daylight. But if I didn't have the pendant of light around my neck and hidden under my shirt, I'd burn and become ash as if any other of my kind would. It's just another day. Nothing is out of the ordinary. Or so it would seem. As I walk, I'm suddenly grabbed by the hood of my black sweatshirt and yanked backwards off of my feet. The force of is a dead giveaway of who's grabbed me. The name rolls into mind and I immediately seeth with rage. James Alan Hetfield. The werewolf. Mangy fucking mutt.

(Metallica/Megadeth story) Dave Mustaine is...different, to say the least. Ever since he was kicked from Metallica, he hasn't been the same. Sure, he had Megadeth, but they were only created to fill the hole made by his former best friends abandoning him. By chance, Dave runs into his old bandmates one day, and they get to catching up. But James notices that Dave is hiding something, something he refuses to disclose...until it may be too late. (originally posted on rockfic, just so everyone knows I didn't steal)
