A Romance Novel. {Ongoing} Louisa was a liar. Not because she wanted to be, but because survival demanded it. Keeping her real identity hidden meant freedom, and she had spent years making sure nobody got close enough to uncover the truth. Especially not men like John. Arrogant. Dangerously attractive. Emotionally unavailable. John didn't do love. Didn't do commitment. Didn't do second chances, not with the enemies circling him, and not with the secret he'd buried deep enough to forget it existed. But when a single lie ties their lives together, resisting each other becomes harder than either of them expected. Now the past is closing in, and Louisa has a choice: disappear again, or stay long enough to lose everything...including her heart. ~•~ Excerpt 💫: "Who are you really?" John asked quietly. Her heartbeat stuttered, his tone provoked a burning shiver in her bones. "You don't want the answer to that." "Try me." For the first time in years, Louisa looked afraid. ~•~ Would John want to stay if he knew she was a fraud? Could he remain by Louisa's side despite his own fears? She's told to be calm, but it's nagging on her. She tries calling him, but because of their agreement to not communicate via phones and other means all day until after their wedding ceremony, he doesn't pick up. Hysterically, she cries and causes her mother Gloria Nkhosi to worry. A frantic groomsman calls her and says they can't find Themba. She runs out of the room, looking for him. During her search, she goes to the wedding ceremony marquee and there he lies, a bloodied mess... dead. As the police investigate, she's placed as a suspect because of the statement given by her mother about how she woke up that morning saying that she couldn't feel Themba anymore. It's a journey of how she runs from the police, tries to find her fiancé's killer and how love finds her again.
