It ends when the loved one returns their feelings (romantic love only, a strong friendship is not enough unfortunately), or when the victim dies. It can be cured through a surgery that removes it, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear. Shinso is in love with Kaminari, a loud yellow haired blonde boy. He hasn't told anyone about the disease besides his closest friends and his sister.
