Mysteriously having human morals, Aegis contains a desire to deliver justice in the form of claw thrusts. He's a silent one, prefers to only talk when necessary. Aegis operates on a no-nonsense type of nature. If he wants to get something done, he will do it fast and efficient. His combat style reflects on this, although secretly he did like doing flashy moves from time to time. Despite all this, he is surprisingly a bit of a shy towards strangers and rarely opens up. This may contribute to his silent personality. But, when the situation calls for it, he will get loud and he will make sure his voice is heard

Everyone knows this, so did Lynwood, son of the local woodsman. He had read enough about dragons to know of their terror and danger and that they must be killed on sight. Not like he had anything to fear, dragons have long become extinct .....or have they? When sudden peril comes to the simple woodsman home and Lynwood's father is arrested with the accusation of plotting against the king, Lynwood and his sister have to flee into the mountains with a mysterious letter that must be taken to the king's nephew. It is there that Lynwood will discover that dragons are not so extinct after all. Lynwood will find himself tangled in the sticky web of politics, and his one key to getting himself and everyone else out of it will be to put aside his prejudice and come to see dragons for what they really are. When you are the oddball of the family being alone tends to be your norm. My family is always gone or standoffish to me when they are actually around. This all changes when I have a near death experience that should have been impossible for me to live through. If that wasn't weird enough, now I'm starting to change and it might not be in a good way.

Now that that's out of the way my name is Matthew Night. I am what people would call a "lab rat". I was in countless experiments, all because of those stupid scientists and my fa-, sorry I'm getting off track. Basically, I was used for their sick and twisted experiments. But the main reason I was there, it was so they, changed my DNA, they made me a hybrid, part human and part, well, dragon. I'll explain the rest inside the book. Dagan lived a relatively normal life, as normal as one can get with no friends and a photographic memory. Then one weekend his life changed forever. Now Dagan lives alone, isolated from the human world in a cave. Things continue to change, all the time and now Dagan is on a mission, to kill one man. But how do you kill someone who has experience killing others like you? ----- I slowly regain consciousness, my head spinning from what just happened. I do however notice I'm in bed. What? I thought I was in my armchair? I glance at the dragon painting out of a newly formed habit. However, the painting is just as it was before, a jet black dragon spreading its wings wide as it flies upward. Its front and hind legs are dangling down, and its tail this also pointing down. Wait. What? How is that even possible? Did I... Dream that this happened? I sigh in relief and get up from the bed. I go to the bathroom with one clear goal in my mind, to clear my bladder. Washing my hands I study myself in the mirror. My hair is pretty messy, and langs over my eyes. I turn off the tap and dry my hands, before attempting to comb my hair with my hands. I look back at the mirror. And something I see makes me freeze. Alongside the normal world of humans lies the world of the shape shifters, chosen in their teens they undergo a ritual to which they adapt to become a shape shifter. The shape they become reflects their nature and is represented by a tattoo on their right forearms. Once a century, a shape shifter is chosen to be a dragon, leader of the shape shifters. Storm is an orphan after her parents died in a car crash and is chosen by the Saint Woman to join their ranks and finds out she has been chosen for an important role in the shape shifter society.
