Melissa King had known and worked with Langdon for going on two years. They had always maintained a health work relationship. Heck, she'd even call him a friend. But deeper than that, and something she'd never say out loud. She liked him. Yes, he was divorced. Yes, he was single. But he's a resident and never short of other women's attention. Frank Langdon had to stop himself from staring at her. He alway found his eyes wondering back to her whenever she was in the room. Friends, the word sounded a bit sour on the tongue. Their almost kiss a few months ago had made him uneasy. Not with regret or embarrassment, no. With a craving. He had feelings for Mel for a while now. The kids were finally settled into his and his ex-wife Abby's routine. He was ready to tell her that night how he felt. But then she said the dreaded F-word. Friends. But as long as he could still see her beautiful smile, he'd be a happy man. One weekend, while out injured, Mel takes care of him. But when she mentions she got an offer to work at another Hospital out of state, he must decide whether or not to pursue his feelings or let them stay unsaid forever.
