I was surprised by how fast I could run now, it was effortless. Cole ran ahead of Sophie and me. I had been to The Core a few times before with them, but that was before I changed. I remembered the first time I went; how afraid I was. It was funny to think that now I would be welcome and now I would be treated differently. In a way, it kind of scares me. Sophie kept on asking how I felt and whether I was okay or not. I replied with the same words every time 'I'm fine'. She cared about me, not in the same way Sienna did, but she still cared. After a while of silence she asked the one question I hadn't been asked yet, although I knew she had been thinking about it since the dark room. "How was the change?"
