Kakashi Hatake didn't really have a solid plan as to how he was going to change the future. All he knew was that he really couldn't do much worse than Naruto and his friend's had. And if Obito had gone insane because Rin had died, making him fall in love with someone who has evaded death enough times to prove at least partial immortality sounds fool proof enough to him.
