Shadow is learning and adjusting to his new lifestyle with his partner, Sonic, who has suffered a head injury that has caused him to become impulsive, and obsessed with Shadow. Behind closed doors Sonic just wants love and attention from Shadow, but when faced with other characters he can become an unpredictable menace. Shadow feels as if it's his fault for Sonics injury. Was it Shadow's fault? Or will he discover the truth? (All work is for creative purposes. Complete fiction.)

Based on the game "The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog" Sonic has not seen Shadow in a while, during a Murder Mystery game, Shadow gets the "locksmith" role, where he can lock every door in the train. Shadow as a cashier/barista in a cafe called ChaosCafe Sonic as a worker from some company and would always come by ChaosCafe every so often. Sysopsis! Everyday. Around 16.00 - 17.00 pm, he would always come by this cafe to order a single chili dog with an iced caramel latte, with his radiant smile that always bring the other waiter and waitress smile along with him, I myself find it hard not to feel light weighted after seeing his smile. Sometimes I wonder, if those smile could ever fade. Until one day..

It was sudden, and unexpected. When a chaos emerald was shattered, it chose to take a life to restore itself. Of all the lives, it took Sonic's. It didn't leave his body behind to bury, it took all of him. Though the shatter was an accident, the grieve and thought of death was real. The day Sonic vanished into thin air was the day the heros fell apart. Yet Shadow still heard his voice... Sonic was there, but hidden. And none could see what danger his soul was in. He lived with his roomate Tails the Fox and his pet Hedgehog Shadow named after his shyness, love for the dark and his fur that was black like the shadows. Sonic loved his hedgehog, he was like him in a way if he was an average hedgehog with no mobian features and Shadow loved his owner as much as any pet would love his. One day though, Shadow gets lost and comes back full mobian all by the work of Sonic's enemy Eggman. When full mobian, Shadow starts to notice the strange feelings he's always had for Sonic grow more and more. He doesn't know what it's called. Sonic says it's love but the azure already gave his heart to someone else.. .. Note this is an au, all ages and personalities are altered to fit the fic.
