Lloyd over hears some Serpentine and decides to go with them, you staying where you are. A Few days later the Serpentine find a Fang Blade and starts to head off, the ninja closing in. After Kai saves Lloyd, realizing what his true potential was, Lloyd becomes the Green Ninja. But the prophecy tells of another. It says that there is another Ninja that is to be as equal and powerful to the Green Ninja, who is to defeat the Dark Lord by his side. The Purple Ninja, the power over darkness. This ninja was to be by the Green Ninja's side for his entire life.
