After no.6 was destroyed, assassins were deployed by those who wished the reincarnation of the once said 'perfect' place. Their plan? To kill all those involved with the destruction of no.6, Nezumi knew this and even though he acted oblivious, so did Shion, they were already targets and they knew that they had to split up of they were to survive. Two girls, trained by the assassination corps, escaped, they hated the thought of no.6 coming back. At the very moment they escaped they vowed to protect the hunted, they witnessed the destruction of the correctional centre, and immediately, they knew, they had to protect two people. They watched as Shion and Nezumi embraced and they knew, these people were in danger. After Nezumi left, one followed him and told him of the assassination plans, the other, stayed with Shion. After a year's absence Nezumi returns. Soon after the investigations department begins snooping around what happens when they turn their sights towards Shion and Nezumi?

After two years of waiting, Shion and Nezumi finally reunite... It's rather bittersweet.
