[Completed] Elysia's life is turned upside-down when she's abducted by supernatural creatures with demonic eyes and threatening fangs. What's worse is she has no idea what it is they want from her, except that it has something to do with a side of her that she's never known. The chances of Elysia getting out alive are slim, but perhaps with a bit of luck and a lot of bravery she can escape with more than just her life. Excerpt: ''What trick is this?'' The creature asked, but it didn't sound like a vicious question. He sounded... confused. When I didn't answer, he appeared in front of me, snatching my face in his hand once more and growling. ''What is that on your back?'' ''I don't know,'' I blindly answered, but corrected myself quickly when his grip tightened dangerously, ''It's a birth mark, the doctors called it a... a Lichtenberg figure. My mother said I was born with it, I swear it, even though it's usually what happens when you survive being struck-'' ''-by lightning.'' Lydia Anabor's life was one full of peace and adventure growing up side by side with her father. The only thing that really bugged her was the constant, repetitive dream she's had ever since the day she turned 18. She tried to ignore it early on and act like the constant reminder of a dream she didn't understand didn't bother her, like the hours of research it caused her weren't that valuable. She told herself to just not think about it. To just accept it as something that she wasn't going to understand. Except the day that her dream finally changed brought her face to face with a wolf. A wolf that brought her a day full of aggravation, confusion, and a strange feeling she couldn't quite explain. ~~~ "Okay. So what- you're like a dog... person... wolf thing?" He bit his lower lip in what looked like an attempt to stop a laugh. "Sure. But personally, we call ourselves werewolves, though some may prefer lycans." "Were...wolf?" Another nod. "Yup, and judging by your reaction to all of this, I take it that you're unaware of the fact that you're one as well." My eyes went wide. No. His words alone should have been enough to end this conversation, should have been enough to send me back up those stairs without another word. Except my feet weren't moving, and neither was the rest of me, like some part of my body had already decided to hear him out before my brain had agreed to it. A werewolf... Me..? No, I would know. Surely I would know something like that about myself. A dream. This had to be a dream. Please, please let this be a dream. "I... No. I feel like that- this-," I gestured to him," Would have been something I'd be aware of by now!" "I'd have assumed so as well, but we can figure that part out later." his left eye returned to blue after a blink. "I'm just happy that I finally found you." That same warmth surged again, sharper this time. "Wh-why?" His mouth curved, exposing those too-sharp canines. "Because you and I are mates."
