After finding out about a romantic myth, an intrigued Rouge persuades Shadow to take part in it by tying a little red string around his finger. The hedgehog, despite considering it nothing but a silly fairy tale, goes along with it. To his surprise, the myth may not be as ridiculous as he first thought.

Shadow is on the run from the law, and innocent Amy Rose somehow, someway, gets caught up in the middle of it. It becomes a game of tug of war, and Amy needs to figure out which side she is on. Will she be able to dig deeper and find the truth of what's going on? And if she has to, will she be able to turn Shadow in? Or is she willing to take a chance and become a fugitive?
