Meanwhile, the release of a controversial book written by Mayor Bourgeois makes our favourite love-square a lot more difficult as people lose their trust and begin to doubt their heroes, ultimately making Hawkmoth's job easier as friendships are torn apart. The arrival of new girl Lila also stirs mischief along with the spiral of lies, hatred, jealousy and deceit. Will our heros be able to survive? Or will they crash and burn by these new, confusing feelings?

Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupain-Cheng have been best friends ever since childhood. The two were inseparable until Adrien had to suddenly move due to the disappearance of his mother. 5 years pass and Marinette is now 13 years old and has a new group of friends along with a couple new enemies. Rumor goes around saying that a new boy is joining the school community and it leaves all the students to question. But once he arrives it leaves Marinette speechless to seeing Adrien, her one and only childhood friend all those years ago. "I'm a cat, Mari." he whispered. He wrapped his arms around her waist and the heat from his body made her shiver in the cold. She pressed her palms against his chest and his warm breath ruffled her fringe. Chat offered her a small smile, her heart hammering in her chest. "And sometimes..." he dipped his head down to hers. "We cats tend to stray." ~~~ While out one night in the park, Chat Noir finds Marinette and tries to escort her home safely. But she's injured protecting him from an akuma and he feels responsible for her. Intent on making it up to her, Chat Noir visits her regularly to make sure she's doing well. But it doesn't take long before their meetings become more than just casual check-ups. Bad things happen when superheroes fall for civilians, but even with the threat of Hawk Moth looming around, Chat can't seem to stay away. Will the risks be worth it in the end?
