Violet Evergarden was used to at this point, taking long and tiring (for the average human but not Violet) commutes across the world. This would just be one of those journeys right? "It is a pleasure to meet you. No matter how far or how risky the journey, we will be there. Auto Memories Doll, Vio-" Violet lifted her head slightly, taking a glimpse at her client. Seemingly out of breath, she pauses for a second and then continues with her introduction. "Violet Evergarden at your service."

An alternative Violet Evergarden storyline that picks up at the same time as the netflix show. Major Gilbert survived the war and picks up Violet instead of Claudia Hodgins. I'm not a writer nor do I aspire to become one, but these two just deserved more time together and after reading a translation of the novel, I just had to write this, as I couldn't find any English fanfiction. (not even on tumblr???) Please recommend some good fics in the comments if you find any
