Jedoch wusste tomura, wer deku war und was in ihm schlummerte. Deku ließ sich nach dem tot seiner Mutter auf die Seite der schurken ziehen und wurde zu einem erstklassigen schurken ausgebildet. Von da an galt er als vermisst, und es zerrte mehr an katsukis Nerven als er dachte. Kurz nachdem deku für tot erklärt wurde stand er dem blondhaarigen gegenüber.
