Reticence is the city of introverts-the grand experiment to discover the secrets of the human mind in a world governed by scientists. In a world where seventeen year olds decide to live either inside or outside the Fence for the rest of their lives after a year of training, sixteen year old initiate Nebula discovers that her secrets have the power to take her life, and that the Choice may not be hers after all.
