A lonely goblin living in the woods comes across a mysterious seed. Compelled to plant it, it doesn't take long at all for a mysterious and enchanting flower to grow. It had a familiar essence, something he can recognize from long ago, something lost to time. Returning home, the goblin discovers the flower wilted, and a faerie flying around. A friend, finally. But it doesn't take long for the faerie to get lonely. The goblin was struggling with what to do, he knew he was going to bring the faerie other faeries, but then the goblin would be alone again. Stellan Byer and his sister, Celestia Byer, both must survive in a sudden outbreak of earthquakes in a post-apocalyptic world. Celestia must keep her older brother in line as he falls out of place and in love with an edgy boy, Inigo Drexel. Stellan also must fight past trauma such as neglect and anxiety. The three must escape to a safe shelter in Virginia.
