The Queen's Curse by @euphyrys A Greek Mythology Story Previously known as Through Golden Blood ••• The Queen of the gods never imagined that this was the sort of life she was going to have. Every second of the day feels like an eternity for her. An eternity of hell. After all, she has to withstand all the pain over the years. Her family's hatred towards her. Zeus' endless betrayal and infidelity. They had labeled her as the bitter Queen, vindictive, and jealous wife. None of them considered whatever she was going through. The constant inner battles were even worse than her extensive arguments with her husband. How long till she had enough of all the suffering she endured? How long will it take till she finally loses hope for her family and her husband? She was tired of it all. ••• The void temporarily connected with the Lord of the Underworld's domain together with evil spirits fleeing from chains that bound them, causing misery in the world above. Now, the entire council and the rest of the deities are facing a new threat whilst encountering a tragedy that will change the course of events. It will be up to the king to save his queen from the clutches of their past as it is the fate of all the realms that rests in his hands. "Even amid the hurricane with remorseless winds and lightning strikes of the sinister storm, my heart belonged to you." ••• Pairing: Zeus/Hera A/N: This book is an outlook on Hera's life. I do not own Greek Mythology but I own the plot of the entire story.

The gods are only human. | Hestia is known as the virgin goddess of the hearth, architecture, domesticity, family, the home and the state. She's the first child of Cronus and Rhea, and the eldest of the first set of Olympian siblings. She's usually non-confrontational and level-headed, and therefore adored by all the other gods and goddesses. Now imagine if all the other gods and goddesses came to her doorstep whenever they had problems. Imagine if she was the go-to girl because of her calm and nurturing nature. Imagine the words she'd have with her philandering brother, or the conversations she'd share with her nieces and nephews. Imagine what it's like at the fireside.

As I looked up at my Husband, Zeus, I took the crown that was placed atop my head and held it in front of me. The beautiful leaves that once adorned the crown started to fall down. Once they hit the White marble floor, they crumbled into tiny specks of gold. One by one, the leaves fell, just like my respect for Zeus, who looked livid as he glowered at me. As I looked at his beautiful face and felt a single drop of tear that hung on my eye lash fall down, the remnants of the crown blasted into golden dust. I began walking towards the door. "You foolish Goddess, you do realise you will have no respect once you step out of this castle without my name and the title of the Queen of Gods!" said Zeus. I continued walking till I reached the door. I looked over my shoulder and said something that I should have said long ago, something I was scared to say as a Queen and a wife. "I don't care."
