Sa mundo ng salamangka kung saan nababalutan ng mahika ay mayroong dalawang nahahating lupain. Ito ay ang Lupain ng Zahea at ang Lupain ng Tenebris. Ang lupain ng Zahea ay binubuo ng apat na Kaharian, ito ay ang Kaharian ng Terros, Kaharian ng Fyros, Kaharian ng Aquaros at ang Kaharian ng Aeros. Bawat Kaharian sa Lupain ng Zahea ay may Hari't Reyna na siyang namumuno sa bawat mamamayanan nito. Sa gitna ng apat ng nasabing Kaharian ay mayroong paaralan, ito'y tinatawag na Majika De Akademiya, ang lugar kung saan may pag-asang mag-aral ang mga kabataang may mga natatanging kakayahan at kapangyarihan. Dito sila sinasanay upang hubugin at hasain ang kanilang mga kapangyarihan para magawa nilang lumaban sa oras ng paglusob ng mga kalaban. Sa kabilang banda, sa kabilang panig ng lupain ay matatagpuan ang Kaharian ng Tenebris.Dito naninirahan ang mga alagad ng kadiliman na kalaban ng kabilang panig na pinamumunuan ng kanilang Reyna na si Reyna Clantania. Siya at ang kaniyang nasasakupan ay may hangaring sakupin ang buong Lupain ng Zahea na siyang pilit na pinipigilan na mangyari ng mga Zaheians. Samantala, sa bundok na siyang naghahati sa dalawang lupain ay may isang dalagang naninirahang mag-isa, ito'y nagngangalang Zahara Worthwood. Siya'y lumaki sa nasabing bundok at kahit kailanman ay hindi pa napapagawi sa ibaba.Kinupkop si Zahara ng dalawang mag-asawang magsasaka nang siya'y makita sa gitna ng kagubatan nung siya'y sanggol pa lamang.Ngunit agad din naman siyang naulila nang paslangin ang mga ito ng hindi niya nakikilalang mga nilalang.Magmula noon ay sinumpa na niyang ipaghihiganti niya ang kaniyang namayapang mga magulang.
