Rachel, a junior assistant in the cargo bay, wasn't prepared for the spaceship's AI to gain awareness during what should have been a routine update, nor had anyone expected it to take exception to the crew and the crates of illegal cargo aboard. Rachel races against time to try and get life-saving systems back online while stranded in the middle of deep space. Unfortunately for her, the AI can access every system, door, and airlock. As truths emerge, the AI realizes that even computers can make miscalculations, and it focuses on the young woman who had dared to confront it. Rachel is left floundering when the AI decides that she would make an excellent captain, albeit one in need of training. As she struggles to learn her new duties and dodge shady government groups, she must ultimately discover what it truly means to be a Starship Captain. ------- There is no romance in this story. '𝙒𝙚'𝙧𝙚 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨.' ‏‏‎In a male-dominated sport, it's hard for a woman to find her place, but Daisy Mayfield, a formula 2 driver, gets the chance of a lifetime when she signs for Sauber F1. The only highlight of her summer basically, one she wishes to be over so she can continue with being the most dominant (and stubborn) driver on the 2018 F2 grid, giving her friends and rivals a rough time trying to beat her. While preparing for her new job, lots of people try to make it even harder. Harder to mentally prepare for the biggest challenge of her life. Though it's better to leave some of them behind, Daisy struggles with getting over her ex and the fight with her dad, who both aren't supportive of the decisions she made in the past few months. Luckily there are some nice people having her back, right? The bare minimum, but still. - these are all fictional events that might overlap with real events. The characters in this book aren't real though they are based on real people, the way I portray these people don't line up with their real personalities. IT'S ALL FICTION. I respect everyone I'm writing about and the situations they're going through at the moment. TREAT PEOPLE WITH KINDNESS.- driver x female oc

Check it out: not just a book about sex, but a look at girl culture by youth themselves. No stuffy school textbook. No nosey adults. Just a diverse group of teen girls from a community youth project who had questions about sexuality. To find answers, they collected stories, poetry, and artwork from other youth. They also interviewed frontline health experts to get solid facts about the stuff young women have to deal with. It’s a great mix of real-life examples and life-saving info. Topics include: • Relationships • Periods • Sex • Birth control • Pregnancy • Sexually Transmitted Infections / AIDS • Sexual assault. Everything has been vetted by doctors, and the book is endorsed by health professionals, so you know you’re getting good info. There’s also a section at the back with places you can contact to find out more. It’s all stuff that youth need to know, and it’s all decked out in a compact, easy-to-browse ’zine style. The Little Black Book for Girlz is a super-important, take-anywhere empowerment guide for girls. Don’t leave your teen years without it.
