When he expelled his entire First Year Heroics class, that was supposed to be the end of it. Aizawa was going to go home, get some coffee and forget the day ever happened. He wasn't supposed to be the accidental target of a rogue Quirk and end up with four legs and fur. On top of that, he was hopelessly lost somewhere in Musutafu. At least, he was until he was picked up by some timid green-haired child who seemed to be far too alone for Shouta's liking. Something about the kid had an old protective instinct rearing up in him. And he didn't like the way All Might was talking, either. Fine. UA could wait a bit. He had a Problem Child to look after first. In which Aizawa is turned into a cat, and adopted by a very lonely third year middle school student named Midoriya Izuku.

Midoriya Izuku has always had a sharp mind. He aims to transfer to the U.A. Heroics course from the Support Course. He knows he's smart enough to get in, and he's always been gifted with making things. He just never thought his items would be of use to him before U.A. Tsukauchi Naomasa never expected a phone call from a twelve-year-old child who'd been kidnapped by villains. Who was still in the hands of villains. But he'd be damned if he let this kid die. A fic about Izuku being kidnapped by the LoV, but staying on the phone with Tsukauchi, Eraserhead, and Present Mic the whole time.

Three years he spent on that godforsaken island. Three years running for his life and fighting tooth and nail for survival against creatures that should be nothing more than fossils. Three years of sharpening his instincts and senses into a weapon all their own. And finally, after three years, he had the opportunity to chase his dream. And he'd be damned if he let the opportunity pass him by. UA would have to handle him, ready or not. Midoriya Izuku was going to take the world of heroics by storm.

When he was 4, Izuku was deemed Quirkless. Having two joints in your pinky toe was a sure way to prove if one was born with a Quirk or not. There were only ever 2 cases in all of documented Quirk History where someone with the extra joint had developed a Quirk, so it was with absolute 100% certainty that the doctor had informed the crushed child and devastated mother that he would never develop one. He was wrong. A story where Izuku has an immortality Quirk that he finds more annoying than anything else. Featuring a Detective Tsukauchi who's practically adopted our favorite Green Bean.

All Izuku wanted to do was help. He had a major disadvantage compared to everyone else. He had known that since he was 4, since he discovered that not all men are made equal, but he'd be damned if he didn't work 10 times harder than everyone else, just to not fall behind. Then, after 10 years of work, he's rewarded. He acts before he thinks and saves a life, but his bully didn't see it that way. That's why he's currently bleeding in the street, with the right side of his face a charred mess. Physically, he's broken, but his will is as strong as ever. After being left behind by All Might on the rooftop, Izuku starts to see the world in a different way. He realises he doesn't need to be a hero to save people. A vigilante will do. And Aizawa is a tired caterpillar who cares too much for the kitten who roams the streets.

Owning a cafe that is frequented by many, heroes and civilians alike, isn't easy, but Midoriya didn't really mind. He had two kids to take care of, found many friends in the resident teachers and the resident explosive pomeranian. But the boy is tangled up in things that most heroes wouldn't even want to go near.
