Nelly's boyfriend's (sorry, her ex-boyfriend's) life changed for the week he spent in his hometown, his soul moved by the holiday magic, or whatever. And while that's all wonderful for him for him, Nelly can't help but feel like she got the short end of the stick, because of course, said boyfriend finding his roots once more means that he would find new love, sparked by the rosy spirit of that time of year. And Nelly is left as that side love interest in every Hallmark movie. So yeah, holiday magic is pretty bullshit. Luckily for her, her best friend Alex is ready to prove her wrong.
