After Sokka and Zuko's trip to the Boiling Rock, in order to rescue Sokka's father and Suki, the two boys put aside their differences and pasts and become close friends. So close that Sokka can't get the firebender prince off his mind and his heart keeps skipping beats when Zuko laids his eyes on him. So close that Sokka finds himself ignoring Suki's existence and even his lost love, Yue, just for the golden eyes of a prince and wonder why does it feel so hot when the firebender touches him. For the simple reason that the exiled prince has set his heart on fire and has made him crave for the love of a firebender. enemies, to friends, to lovers. ______________ hi there. so, this is modern. they still have bending, ba sing se is a place etc. it's just like ATLA except with technology i guess? not sure how to explain it. but we've got zukka because im in love with it, kataang and then.. toph. but there is not firelord stuff or anything like that. i'm editing this 3 chapters in because it followed the plot line better LMAO suki died. i haven't put too much research into when she died, but i'm gonna say this is like a year or so after the last episode of atla. they need to be aged up LMAO sokka is 17, zuko 18. katara 16 and for the sake of the plot aang is also 16. toph is 15. mature content warning. minimal swearing if y'all care LMAO. its slow burn and a lot of beating around the bush. they don't wanna admit anything and sokkas just overall afraid to love again after every woman or girl he's loved has died in some form. minus katara and toph. zukos head over heels you could say, he's realizing what affection really feels like. so this leaves him questioning

When the Gaang has an odd run in with Zuko, Sokka can't seem to part with the hot head teen. What is so interesting about Zuko, and had the Gaang misjudged him? This story takes place as the gAang is on there way up to the Northern Watertribe to learn water bending. This is very canon-divergent. Slowburn. Zuko switched sides much faster and Sokka is a huge simp. TW: 2 deaths, 2 breakdowns, underage drinking, very 💅🏻
