My fingers shook like leaves in the breeze as I raised them, my heartbeat quick. Haiders strong hand was firm and steady as he took mine and slipped the ring onto my finger. A white ring with small Diamonds. A holy Bond which was meant to be cherished, was nothing but a testament of his Ownership of me. A daily reminder of the golden cage I'd be trapped in for the rest of my life. The Maulvi spoke the final words, "Do you Zara Noor Khan daughter of Tariq Khan, accept Haider Ali Shah as your husband with the Haq Mehr of twenty Lacs?" I closed my eyes and whispered the words. "Qabool hain" "Qabool hain" "Qabool hain" It was final she was Haider Ali Shahs wife until the bitter end.

I saw her leaning aganist the window staring into the sky, her long black hairs blowing with wind covering her beautiful face from my sight, her black eyes shining as she stared out in the dark, her white dress and moonlight shadowing on her delicate body made her look like an angel, she feel my presence and turn around with a small smile on lips, ''I have been waiting for you,'' she says, walking to me, I hold her small hand in mine and place a soft kiss on the back and look up to her, "I miss you," I said leaning to her, she laughs and backs away, " I know," she reply and pushes me away "you have to pay for making me wait for last three hours," she says playfully looking into my eyes, her long fingers trailing down on my chest I smile and gather her in my arms, "Anything for you darling," she laughs and lean her head on my shoulder, "never leave me again," she whispers, "Never my love," I said closing my eyes, feeling her in my arms. I open my eyes and raise my hands to cup her face but.... I stopped It happened again.... I saw it... I saw it again My hands covered in blood... She had an intense fiery flaring within her. His courteousness masked his resentment all this while. What could have manipulated their opinions regarding each other that all hatred was subsided? Hearts wrenched, tears squandered, for those who did not worth the effort. And each bargained, to cling to life, to gain vengeance, to protect one's their hearts embraced preciously.
