John, Marlena, and Roman are pulled in as Pawn's in one last game plotted out by Stefano DiMera's diabolical mind. Roman Brady has barely been back in Salem two months, when he abandons his family because of a threat from organized crime boss Raffi Torres. Marlena and her children are left vulnerable when Raffi decides to go after them instead. John takes Marlena, Eric, Sami, and Carrie on the run, determined to protect the family that will always be his.

I wrote this many moons ago and never got to finish it up. Going to try to rediscover the story and characters as I go. You're welcome to come along for the journey, if you wish. This is my take on the affair from 1993, set in that moment in time. Hope you enjoy (:
