His features seemed to soften a little as he stared at the ground. When his eyes came back up to meet her, she thought she might get lost in his gaze. "Light prevails." Leaning in slowly, Draco kissed her on the lips and Hermionie pulled him in. -x- Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger are far from friends, they're barely even acquaintances and if the two of them had their way, they would not be spending their final year at Hogwarts as Head Boy and Head Girl together. But as fate would have it, or rather McGonagoll, they are the top picks to keep the students at Hogwarts in check and out of harms way. Though the two of them might have something to say about that. Regardless, both Draco and Hermione accept their positions and try to move on from their old rivalry, close old wounds, and try to form some sort of friendship. But sometimes the past can't stay buried and old grudges die hard and despite not having to defeat a Dark Lord, their seventh year at Hogwarts may prove to be the hardest one yet.
