What if the ministry of magic had been ready the day the Potter's got murdered? What if Voldemort got put in Azkaban? What if there was no, "boy that lived". What if the wizarding world was still at peace? Lavender Baldwin is a pureblood, but you would not know it by knowing her. She comes from a very similar house to the Malfoy's, all Slytherins, and very cruel. When she gets put in Hufflepuff, her family does all but disown her; they still let her live in their house in the summer, but she gets treated worse than the house elves. What happens when strange things start happening to Lavender, putting her in the line of danger. How will she deal with it? When she grows to care about people, will she be able to save them from new and old evils? This is going with the same time as my other HP fanfic, and would make more sense if you read them together. Also, this story deals with bullying and abuse. I do not own this world, or most of the characters.

Tears fell out of her bright baby blue eyes. She didn't even care her makeup was smearing. "I thought you'd changed" she choked through her latest sob . Draco stood before her, eyes clenched shut. He refused to look at her. Alice clutched her sides. It was clear to her now. It was so painfully, obviously clear. He simply didn't care. She'd been living in a fantasy. A fantasy where she and the boy she loved would live happily ever after. Another sob escaped her lips. He wanted to hold her. He wanted to kiss her. Kiss her all over, tell her it wasn't what she thought, that things weren't what they seemed. "I thought you loved me." Draco snorted. And it was in that moment, Alice knew things were over. It was that moment her world tumbled down around her. In that moment, the stars fell like rain. She pushed past him through the door. Draco let out a terrible, mangled sound. A sob broke through his teeth. It was the kind of sob that shook your entire body. The kind of sob that made your heart falter. Hot tears stung his eyes as her last words played over and over inside his mind. He hit the wall with his fists. He didn't feel the pain. He hit it again. Again. Again. He stared down at his bloody wrists. "I thought you loved me." A final sob leaking out as he cried. "So did I." (For all purposes Alice, Draco, all main characters and the Weasley twins are all in 6th year)
