Long ago yokais lived in the human world for decades. But eventually created their own world and entrusted humans to guard the gateway leading between the two worlds. That way the yokais and humans could live peacefully. But of course, the relations between the two kinds wouldn't always remain peaceful. ----- A majority of this story isn't canon and just what I thought up or based on some comics I found, but I will involve some canon events.
