"Hey," She began quietly, much like how she greeted him in the penthouse several times when he hadn't known she was coming over. "Look, I promise that I'm trying to be okay with you leaving. I know why you had to do it. It was so brave, and I knew it's because you felt that you needed to protect me and Charlie, but," She paused to breathe, then continued, "It's so hard. Not to think of you, I mean, or stumble across a memory of you and tell myself not to think about it...not to feel. I'm trying so hard to forget everything that you made me feel." Everything meaning the annoyance, heartbreak, joy, sadness, fear, and love. All of it. "It's just hitting me now that this is the end." *** Three years after Chloe's and Lucifer's last goodbye on his balcony seemed like the end. He never intended on coming back to Earth, the threat of evil being released too great and only he could stop it. But when a larger threat works to over-throw him, Lucifer finds himself returning to Earth to protect Chloe and their friends. Is it the end of these star-crossed lover's epic love story...or is it just the beginning? This began as my take on what might happen in Lucifer season 5 (Netflix) before (and during) all of the teasers. I started writing this about a year ago, after season 5 was announced. What if Chloe got the call regarding Charlotte's death a little later. Chloe and Lucifer's moment turns to something more, which leads to Chloe discovering a shocking surprise when she's in Rome. How will it change her relationship with Lucifer? Can they protect themselves and those they love from the growing threat of Father Jasonmorgua

This story is what I believe the aftermath of 3x24 would be. Season 4 doesn't start till later this year so here's some deckerstar to help pass the time :) Hope you enjoy!!

Chloe and Lucifer are (finally) in a well-established relationship. Everything is going well until a curious little ten-year-old asks a question that well, hits a little too close to home. This fanfiction jumps between the life of Deckerstar and the life of Lucifer as he was before the fall. Samael.

Lucifer isn't about to let an odd chill stop him from seeing Chloe. He wants to tell her everything.... No more going backwards. And so he reveals himself -- just not in the way he intended.
