6 years after the events at the border. Daniel has gotten use to his new life with his grandparents. He's also gotten into a nice art school where he's learning how to draw comics and create storylines with Chris, his bestfriend...who he finds special in many ways. Even though his life has changed alot, he'll never forget all the events that happened when he was last with his brother, who he still cares for dearly. Sean has gained a little bit of a name for himself in Puerto Lobos for his drawings, while fixing and painting people's cars on the side. His one true love Finn who joined him in Mexico a year after the events at the border, works at a local market stand. They still send Daniel photos and letters from time to time and they love when he gets a letter back. He hopes that he can see his enano again at some point.

After finishing his junior year of high school Sean expects to have nothing but fun the entire summer with Lyla. But nothing is expected when he pushes Daniel out of his room to see a vision of the future when Daniel destroys the entire neighborhood to camping in the forest and making it to Puerto Lobos. Is his power a gift or a curse. Can Sean keep up with his power? Or will he fall to despair along the way. And will a certain hippie help him get his life together or will he make it crush and burn along with his future.

I woke up from yet another nightmare about Daniel. It's always a different but it always ends the same, Daniel tells me how scared he is and then he dies. The worry is killing me. I know he can defend himself but he's just a kid and he's all alone out there. And it's my fault. I should never have agreed to that heist. But we needed that money. If we only had opened up the safe without his powers. Maybe if we had carried it out? Or used a crowbar? I don't know... But it's to late now, it's not like time traveling is possible.
