Born in Chicago but raised in the vibrant streets of Ichon-dong, Seoul, Tae-Jin Park was never meant to live a quiet life.
By the age of thirteen, the tall, sharp-jawed guitar prodigy with a wolf cut and a rebellious smile was already making noise in Seoul's underground music scene. Armed with blistering guitar skills and a voice that could shift from velvet R&B to explosive rock screams, Tae-Jin had something few performers possessed-a presence that made people stop and listen.
But Tae-Jin didn't rise alone.
In middle school, he formed a band with four friends who would soon become brothers: explosive Korean-British drummer Owen Lee, quiet production genius Kim Daehyun, steady bass player Choi Min-Seok, and electrifying keyboardist Kang Jisung. Together they created Beyond Us, a band that blended raw rock energy, emotional lyrics, and modern electronic sound.
Starting with tiny local gigs, street festivals, and underground youth clubs, the band slowly built a cult following across South Korea. Their music carried the spirit of rebellion and youth-drawing comparisons to legendary bands like Linkin Park and Guns N' Roses while carving out a sound entirely their own.
At the center of it all stood Tae-Jin.
A guitar virtuoso whose playing evoked the chaos of Jimi Hendrix and the technical brilliance of Eddie Van Halen, Tae-Jin became known as a stage monster-wild, unpredictable, and magnetic. Fans loved his insane guitar solos just as much as his hilarious personality. Offstage he joked like a stand-up comedian; onstage he performed like a rock god. As the band's fame exploded, so did the pressure.
Thirteen albums later, millions of fans around the world, and a life-changing contract with JYP Entertainment, Beyond Us is suddenly standing at the edge of global superstardom.
