Life in the Kismet Waters with the coven is all Mekare has ever known. Raised like an animal for the slaughter by her trio of enigmatic caretakers, she knows little of magic and even less of the world beyond the edges of the swamp. What she does know is that the nameless witches need her blood for their spells and that, somehow, her magic ebbs and flows with the phases of the twin moons overhead.
