In a world where all magic is outlawed, finding a magic user is a hard thing to do. Being one is so much harder, with authorities who would hunt you down untill they kill you and no-one you can trust, how could a magic user hope to survive? Hermitcraft is a hidden safe-space, where magic users can hide from the authorities, the outside world, in a family of other magic users, but it's impossible to find without being brought there, so many magic users could never hope for salvation, since they don't know it exists.
