Here, Daikon, having been retired after a illustrious career in MMA, Wrestling, the Olympics, and many others, decided to come back into Wrestling for the new Company in All Elite Wrestling in 2019. His career was one of the most iconic, due to him being able to compete in more than one company, yet remained loyal to NJPW, but still gained so many titles and victorious and iconic rivalries that he gained a place in the WWE Hall of Fame. He retired because he felt he done what he can do and wanted to be a teacher, used the millions he gained to open a wrestling academy, a developmental territory, to create new Wrestlers. No only that, he has gone through a divorce and wanted to raise his three children, away from the toxicity of his ex. However, his children, who witnessed him training with students, seen the footage of his iconic rivalries, matches, and titles, wanted to see first hand who their father was, and gave him permission to step out of retirement. Grateful for having three great children, Daikon signed a contract with AEW. He may not be how he was when he was younger. However, that didn't mean he stopped and was looking far more wise, more controlled, and more ruthless than he was when he was younger. He saw the wrestling scene and sees that it's becoming too flashy and relying on poorly written storylines and not being given attention. Seeing he's from the past, Daikon is planning to bring back the ruthlessness and Strong Style of Wrestling back, while keeping with the times. Having to reduce his Wrestling Moves and some he could not do at his age at 48, but that just means him being creative.
