Dean Winchester is, once again, new at a school. In fact, this is the third school he's been to this year. Dean expects the norm: girls worshipping him around every corner and no permanent friends. But then a gorgeous plot twist waltzes into Dean's life: Castiel Novak. Known as The Nerd to everyone else, he is always buried in a book and has no friends. Sam unknowingly sacrificed himself while finishing the trials after failing to find God. Dean is left a mess on the inside, but is forced to bottle it as he focuses on the bigger problem. Instead of sealing all of the demons inside Hell, it expelled them, all of them, including Lucifer. More so than ever, the search for God intensifies. What will happen when angels and demons all roam the Earth together?

Cas, Dean, and Sam have been hunting together and splitting off to take smaller jobs. The story starts with the three of them on three separate hunts. Cas is human and wounded. He shows up at Dean's motel in need of help. What proceeds is the two of them meeting up with Sam and going on an involved hunt, over the course of which Dean and Cas slowly figure out their feelings for each other. Lots of awkwardness (in a good way), some mild angst, comfort, and eventually fluff and smut.

It takes place a few hours after Mary Winchester left the bunker. Dean is heartbroken, Sam is drinking, Castiel and Crowley are looking for Lucifer. Cas can hear Dean in his head, and he drops everything to make sure he's okay. They have no idea that they love each other. They've been keeping it to themselves, their own personal struggles. But tonight may be the night that all changes. Is this moment in time the place to finally let all be exposed?

Castiel Novak couldn't think of a worse way to spend his time in England. After ruining everything back in America, Cas decides to start again in London, where he meets his best-friend, who carries a dark secret, and the hottest soul he'd laid his eyes on. Profound bond or not, it was going to be difficult to keep his secret from the Winchester brothers.
