"He's still looking at me.
That boy. With the sparkling seafoam green eyes."
"You didn't take the chance.
You lose.
Game over."
Erin tries to believe that he's happy. Tries to believe that he's alright. That he's not a wierdo. But it's hard to block out those voices, or even lower the volume, especially when they've gotten worse since his dad left. Everyone thinks he's quiet, laid back and easy-going, when he's actually trying his best to keep those broken pieces to himself for the last two years.
Kevin's just found a home that he might actually like this time, though he has been keeping to himself this last month mainly, only reaching out to his new parents from time to time. He seeks for someone to hold, but no one wants to hang with the orphan; the broken boy. Everyone thinks he's moody and violent, yet he wants someone - anyone - to see that he has a heart, though it's been locked up for the last two years.
The two meet at a party and an instant bond is sealed between them. As they make milkshakes and write they're futures together, they seem to always stumble upon the same question:
Should I take the chance?
