Lorsqu'ils découvrent qu'il est très probable qu'un autre Horcruxe ait été crée par Voldemort, des années auparavant, et qu'il l'ait caché à Poudlard, Hermione n'a presque aucune hésitation : C'est elle qui va se sacrifier. C'est elle qui va remonter le temps, pour arriver à Poudlard en 1977, pour rechercher l'Horcruxe. Découvrant les fantômes du passé, elle sera tout d'abord réticente à tisser des liens avec eux. Mais il y a une chose qu'elle ne pensait pas possible : l'amour est entré dans l'équation. Saura-t-elle dire au revoir, lorsque le moment sera venu ?

Le square Grimmaud était plus une ruine qu'une véritable maison mais Harry, après sa victoire et un long voyage, se décide à la rénover à la main et sans magie. Il ne s'attendait pas à recevoir de l'aide, surtout pas celle d'un serpentard toujours impeccable dans son costume trois pièces, qui lui apporte d'excellents gâteaux et un bon thé.

Tout le monde savait qu'Harry Potter passait son temps à l'infirmerie. Alors, lorsqu'il devient un auror confirmé, il fut évident qu'il allait passer beaucoup de temps à l'unité de soin des aurors. Ce à quoi Harry ne s'attendait pas en revanche c'était Drago Malfoy en tant que nouveau médecin et qu'il se découvre une fascination pour les blouses de médicomage.

Harry, brisé, dans une vie qu'il n'a pas choisie, est chef d'une équipe d'auror qui traque les mangemorts. Lors d'une descente, il trouve un corps à peine humain qu'il reconnait de suite : Drago Malefoy. Poursuivi par des mangemorts, Harry va devoir le protéger alors qu'il a oublié comment être humain.
